Ukraine () - National joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy has announced a tender to evaluate oil and gas reserves and resources on seven fields in the Komi Republic (Russia).

According to a posting on the Web site of the Economic Development and Trade Ministry, the Panyelskaya field, sector No. 3 of the Chernysheva ridge and the Khoreyverskaya depression, as well as the Universitetskaya, Tripanyelskaya, Severo-Michayuskaya, Kabintivisovskaya and Chibyuskoe fields are to be evaluated.

Hewlett-Packard Co. (HPQ) Chief Executive Officer Leo Apotheker, announcing his strategy for the first time since taking the helm, plans a deeper push into software and the expanding market for computing delivered via the Web.

The company is starting a cloud-computing service that will let developers create applications for consumers and businesses using HP tools and that run on HP servers, Apotheker said at an event yesterday in San Francisco. HP also plans to put its WebOS mobile software onto a broader range of products, ramping up output to more than 100 million devices a year, he said. The company also announced a 50 percent increase in its dividend.

Oil hits two week low, Japan dents investor sentiment

oilOil fell to two-week lows on Monday, slipping nearly $3 at one point, as concerns over the economic impact from Japan's catastrophic earthquake and tsunami knocked global investor confidence.

ICE Brent crude was trading $1.56 lower at $112.26 a barrel by 1145 GMT, having struck $111.16, the lowest since February 25. U.S. crude fell $1.49 to $99.67, after hitting an intraday low of $98.55.
